Museum Guide Internship at MACAM
Are you a university student with a passion for art and culture? Do you enjoy engaging with people and providing exceptional experiences? MACAM – the Modern and Contemporary Art Museum in Alita, Jbeil – invites you to apply for our Museum Guide and Hospitality Internship.
MACAM is a warm and welcoming museum, home to contemporary sculptures and art installations. As an intern, you will first receive comprehensive training on MACAM's collection and shadow our seasoned museum guides. You will then take on the role of welcoming and guiding our visitors through the exhibitions.
As a MACAM Intern, You Will:
Guide Visitors: Lead visitors through our captivating exhibitions, sharing insights about Lebanese modern and contemporary art.
Assist with Events: Help organize and execute special events and educational programs.
Visitor Services: Provide a welcoming and informative presence at our information desk.
Museum Operations: Gain hands-on experience in museum operations and visitor services.
What We Are Looking For:
Educational Background: University students pursuing degrees in Art History, Museum Studies, Hospitality, or related fields.
Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Personality: A friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for art and culture.
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English and spoken Arabic; knowledge of French is a plus.

Internship Details:
Schedule: 28 hours per week (four days per week, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
Work Days: MACAM is open from Wednesday to Sunday. Flexible working hours are available to accommodate your schedule, with mandatory on-site attendance on either Saturday or Sunday, alternating each week. A work rota will be agreed upon every two weeks.
Stipend: $100.
Communications Internship at MACAM
About the Internship:
As a Communications Intern at MACAM, you will:
Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns.
Create engaging content for our social media platforms, website, and newsletters.
Help organize and promote this summer's museum events and exhibitions.
Support media relations efforts and collaborate on press materials.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance our outreach.
What We’re Looking For:
University students majoring in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Art History, or related fields.
Strong writing and editing skills in English (knowledge of Arabic and/or French is a plus).
Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
Creative thinking and a proactive attitude.

Details about the internship:
• Schedule: 28 hours per week (four days per week, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM). We will agree on a work rota every two weeks to accommodate your schedule..
MACAM is open from Wednesday to Sunday. Your attendance on-site on Saturday or Sunday is mandatory, by alternating each week.
• Remote Work Options: We allow remote work once a week.
• Stipend: $100
