About her Work
Behlok's artistic practice showcases her exploration of conceptual ideas, inviting viewers to engage with the complexities and deeper layers of interpretation within her works. Through her installations, she prompts contemplation and invites a thoughtful exploration of the inherent meanings and contradictions that exist within our perceptions of reality.
Regarding Rania Behlok’s artwork, one of her notable installations features the word "Darkness" written luminously at the center of a dark screen. This juxtaposition of a shining word amidst darkness creates a sense of contradiction and irony. It prompts the viewer to confront a reality that is both manipulative in its interpretation of the word and intriguing in the simultaneous presence of opposing elements: a brilliant light and a dim darkness. This interplay intensifies the sensation and evokes a deeper contemplation of the meaning. The installation raises questions about the essence of the subject matter, surpassing the superficial aspects of its form and delving into the search for the meaning behind the meaning itself.
